Dr. Andrea Hawkins (the daughter of an Optometrist),
grew up in the small Northern Town of Liskeard, Ontario. Dr. Hawkins graduated with Honors, with a Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Western Ontario in 1995 and earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 1999.
As a student, Dr. Hawkins completed an externship in ocular disease at the Omni Eye Care Centre in Baltimore and upon graduation
was awarded the Ontario Association of Optometrists Award for Excellence in Patient Management. Following graduation, Dr.
Hawkins joined Dr. Lillian Dube in practice at Elmsdale Vision Centre.
Dr. Hawkins is currently
serving on the Executive Council of the Nova Scotia College of Optometrists (NSCO) as the secretary/treasurer.
Dr. Hawkins currently resides in Fall River with her husband, Dr. Mark Chute and their two children Olivia and Miles.
Outside of the office Dr. Hawkins enjoys running, dancing and water sports.
