Dr. Mark Chute was born in Sudbury, Ontario and raised in Baie Verte, Newfoundland and later Gravenhurst, Ontario. Dr. Chute performed undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph and graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1999. While in Optometry school, Dr. Chute completed an externship in ocular disease at the Omni Eye Centre in Baltimore and upon graduation was awarded the A.W. Cole Award for Clinical Excellence.

Dr. Chute resides in Fall River with his wife Dr. Andrea Hawkins, daughter Olivia and son Miles. Dr. Chute enjoys spending most of his free time playing with his children. He relishes his time on a basketball court or a golf course.
